I've been thinking of getting a turtle for my backyard to get rid of all the bugs, but I haven't thought of toads... I wonder if they'd survive here... How do all of you get rid of snails? They are invading our property.
So glad you will get one Davit. You can just put a clay pot sideways into the ground and bury it half way up the sides, in a shady place. p.s. planting seeds and watching the new growth is miraculous and mysterious.:) p.s.s. I am truly enjoying the lemon balm tea every single day. I love it and look forward to it.
anerol: I have toads in my backyard. I have cedar hedges all around and they also like to stay underneath the big hosta leaves. I found one stuck in my little pond and poor thing couldn't get out, so I helped it out. (I had gloves on, lol)
I have toads in my Green house and they do such a fine job of pest control that I think they should have houses. Going to go search for information on houses.
Anerol: I do hope you will post one of your paintings! I just started some clay work today - very slow and painful - I haven't done anything for 2-3 yrs. but thought I'd try toad houses.
This is a Huge step on your road to freedom. All of these steps you are taking will lead you to your ultimate goal. Freedom and independence. I am very proud of you. Hearing about your successes encourages me to move forward with my own goals. I too am trying to get out more alone driving the car. If I can do this than I will be free to do so much more.
