Hi everyone:  My goal was to be able to go for long walks again without worrying  about "How do I get back?".  I used to feel breathless, tight chest and the anxious thoughts would start.  I would pick a spot about half-way to rest if I needed it and would designate it as my safe place.  Now, I just walk about an hr. a day without any discomfort except the normal physical feelings.  If it's raining (we've had so much rain this summer) I might not go out as long, but try and fit in at least 15 minutes between showers.  It gets me out and not sitting back and maybe sliding into the old routine.  I'm very pleased with myself, if you could see me now, I'm smiling!  Keep up the positive self-talk!
