Happy New Year! Who's quitting?

2 years ago 0 71 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0

Hi everyone

I decides to quit on Tuesday. I've been exercising and cutting back. The exercise has helped a lot with managing stress. Issues in my personal life have been calming down. Work stress has bee calming down. I am feeling positive. Maybe I can do it this time!

Thanks for your help everyone. I read and reread all the posts I get.

Any tips for Tuesday? I'm a bit nervous. I really want to finally be done with smoking!!

Hi Grapeseed,

I'm sorry you are having difficulties in your personal life now. Quitting smoking can be very difficult when stressed. How are you trying to manage the stress? If I remember correctly exercise and talking to your girlfriend helped you before. Does that still help? Do you think you need to add more coping tools?

I know you have wanted to quit for awhile. The fact that you are still thinking about it is great. You will quit when you are ready.

Take care,

Ashley

Darn. Well at least you are still thinking about quitting. There's always going to a reason to not start. The key is to ignore the reasons and jump in head first! But if you are not ready yet, you're not ready.

I hope you can get things in order, at least enough to give you the mindset to give it a go.

Never give up, never surrender!

Stay safe my friend....

Hi timbo and penitent,

I haven't been able to quit yet. I have been feeling down about personal issues and it's been preventing me from taking the plunge.

I want to quit soon. I need to build up the strength.

Hey Grapeseed,

How are you doing? Did you start your quit journey yet?

Keep us informed unless getting on this website increases the urges. We had a user a few years back from England that did fine with her quit journey except for when she was on here. For some reason being on here increased the urges for her so she had to stop logging in. Whatever works to conquer the addiction!

Stay safe and I wish you the best. ?

I continue to quit and wish everyone well,

Grapeseed, if you really want to quit, you will. Hard at first but it gets easier as time passes. Don't put yourself through the agony of quitting a thousand times, do it just the once and start enjoying a whole new, happier, healthier world.

Good Luck

Penitent on day 6,443 of quitting
