That is so great to hear! From all of you. I too feel the same way most time when I go out on a binger. I feel like sometimes I tell myself my habits are okay and justified because it only happens on the weekend and doesn't effect the work week. For me I started noticing my bad habits when my family and friends told me they thought I drink too much. The big sign was when my best friend told me "you're a different person when you drink". I feel so ashamed because I know it's true. I feel reckless and I don't care about what were to happen while I'm intoxicated. I hope to be like you one day and achieve a month of sobriety. I am working slowly and have cut down to once a week. You are all so inspiring.

Junes I just read your post here and I really saw myself in all of your words. I had a bit of a relapse yesterday and I will be cleaning up the mess I made for a while. Angry, desperately sad, self destructive, etc... it's like I turned into a monster.  I'm really glad I came back here and read this thread; the timing was really good for me. I admire your strength on being 1 month AF and it gives me strength to give it a go myself. Coming back from a mistake/poor choice/regression is one of the hardest parts of all this. I feel so down on myself, angry and disappointed, and it's almost like I just want time to pass faster so I can be whole again and not feel this horrible hurt in the pit of my stomach. Fighting off those feelings (when they would all disappear temporarily with a few drinks) is really hard. Trying to tell yourself that you're worth it and you're better than this when it's absolutely not the way you feel is pretty tough. Anyway, thank you for sharing your experience because it was a true helping hand on what was an otherwise tough day for me. Keep it up.

Facing this takes so much courage june. It sounds like you are doing great and gaining more motivation and confidence as you go. I think you have a lot to look forward to. You will overcome this and be a better person because of this.

It sounds like being accountable and integrity are important values to you. You are clearly honoring these values now by staying away from alcohol. What other values do you think you are honoring by staying away from alcohol?
