Day 1

Good for Gus. I did the same months back and you won't regret it. It's over-whelming at first but most change is. Stay strong and be patient through this first week.

All the best,

I have been reading these postings for the last couple hours and its given me hope. Seems like there are effective ways to quit.

I have considered quitting for months, no years. I dont know how I went from being a regular drinker to a  problem drinker. It just snuck up on me. It's hurting my relationships. It's a bad example for my kids. And it's costly to my wallet and my health. So this is Day 1 of quitting for me. I dont want to have another Day 1. I am hoping to quit all this week. I guess I start by not drinking on day 1. I really want to get on here in a week's time and tell you that I didnt drink the entire week.
