Hey Bekkie!!

Huge congrats on reaching that one month milestone!!!  Wooooo Hooooo for you!!!  I hope that you have planned a great reward for yourself!   My suggestion is to reward yourself and celebrate the entire weekend!    Also, congrats for being able to stop taking the Chantix and continue on with a great quit!  I also quit taking the drug after about 3 weeks, mainly because I was really into my quit and knew that I no longer needed it to remain quit!

Check in often to let us know how you are making out!  We're all rooting for you!

Thank you for all the support. Today I am 31 days smoke free and stopped taking tablets 13 days ago, as it started making me depressed and very short off with my husband and the people I love around me. I am very proud of my self doing this and keeping up with it through the festive season. I must say my husband is very supportive and if it wasn't for his support, I would not have been able to get so far. From today we are TTC again. Will keep everyone posted.

Hi Bekkie,

Congratulations on your decision to quit. Your child will be so much better off. More importantly, so will you.

Good for you getting the hubby to smoke outside.

Check in here any time for support and updates. Hope you're keeping that quit.

Hey Bekkie!!

Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on your great quit so far!  I also quit using Chantix and it is a great drug to help minimize the effects of withdrawal.  Stay focused, take it one day at a time and commit to living your life by N.O.P.E.... Not One Puff Ever!  Quitting will be hard at times, but if you can keep a Positive Mental Attitude, your quit will be much more tolerable!

Read through "My Program" (above tab) to learn more about this addiction and how to better cope day to day.  Stick close and read and learn from your new quit buddies here, too!  There is a wealth of information written in these threads from those who have quit before you!  We're glad you're here!

Keep your eyes on the prize... Freedom!!!  It is definitely worth it!

Thank you for the support. if has just been a ruff year for me and my husband.
lost our baby on the 11/09/2013, I was 21 weeks pregnant and then 5 weeks later my husbands Grandmother passed away and I just decided that before I fall pregnant again I want to stop smoking to give my child a better start in life.
some days is still difficult, as my husband still smokes, but asked him not to smoke in the house, as this will make thing easer for me.

Way to go! Hang in there and keep taking things one day at a time. I have no experience with Champix, but I can tell you the first week is rough, and you survived. Be proud of yourself! :-D
