Original Post by: breatherSince no one is using this thread I thought I'd post some thoughts on it that might be helpful. The slogan H.A.L.T. is a powerful tool against relapse and especially helpful in the early days of the quit. It was and still is for me anyway. Hungry , Angry , Lonely or Tired. I blew a 6 week quit one time because I finished working night shift and stayed awake whereas if I had the good sense to go to sleep the outcome would have been more productive. The point is to not just pay lip service to these emotions because they can send us back smoking in a heartbeat. Don't let yourself get too H.A.L.T. Take care of yourself and don't allow yourselves to get too bent out of shape. I don't know about anyone else but in the early days I was like a firecracker waiting to blow up and needed to keep my emotions in check. Anyway I think H.A.L.T. is important. Excellent for you. breather
