I had posted before about my daughter Chelsea being ill. She still is and we are in limbo land. She was in the hospital for 5 days while they tried to get her platlet level up high enough to do a liver biopsy without worry of bleeding, we were unsuccessful in that. They did the biopsy through the artery in the neck and then down to the liver. We won't have all of the results until this Wed, but are hoping for the best. It may just be a virus, they really don't know. Her body is also becoming either hypoglycemic or diabetic, they cannot tell because the levels jump up and down, we can't control it. She gets very ill and has to check her blood every hour now. This was a child that was the spitting image of health, she never was sick, worked out every night of the week and played on the state soccer team, it has been very hard to see her this wasy. She has gained 18 pounds in water weight in the last 3 weeks, she doesn't even look the same...
BUT, through all of this, I never thought about having a smoke, it wasn't an option...I was so glad I didn't need to keep leaving her room to go for a smoke. There were people in the hospital withdrawing from nicotine and it was horrible, I could hear them begging for a cig, it was so sad.
I did have one weird craving, leaving the Wal-Mart, there was a pack of opened cigarettes laying on the ground, I got this weird crave for like 4 seconds and then kept walking...it was odd, but, what can you do.
I am back on some medications now to help with all of the stress and anxiety, cause you know I do really well with that...
, so we will wait unti Wed to find out more...just wanted to fill everyone in...being smoke free is awesome freedom.
