Still ? Cravings?

Keep the quit, Lance. I just went through a period where I slept 16 hours a day. I'm dealing with a little restlessness and boredom. Fortunately, I attend the volunteer orientation for a part-time job in January. I did sign up for the YMCA, but I put my membership on hold because I use public transportation and I have to stand next to a bike path that runs in front of a golf course to catch the bus at night. All of the classes are in the mornings or at night. No morning person here. No matter what I do I stay up late at night, even if I stay up all night hoping to go to sleep early the next night, I won't. Plus, my volunteer job should straddle the late mornings and afternoons. However, smoking isn't going to change any of this. I'll just have all of these problems and be hooked, too. Then I'll have money problems. What I need is a change in medications--to go off of some and to begin others. The TB meds need to stop. They are probably behind the restlessness. It is unusual for me to be restless at this time of the year. But I have to take them for another three months. So as you can see at least one other person on these boards have anxiety problems, but is hanging onto her quit.

Lance-congrats on your keeping the quit.  That is amazing and it sounds like you have alot going on on top of it.  I think I mentioned this before, but seriously consider this book, google it if you want to see what its about.  The Easy Way to Quit Smoking by Allen Carr.  I am telling you it will help you change that mind frame of craving cigs. It really really helped me with my quit.  Just a thought.   You can probably rent it at your local library even, I know they had it at mine.

You are doing awesome Lance!

64  days!  A kitty would be nice! You could always smuggle one in! I guess that's not a good idea.

Try to focus on the future.  Soon you will be working again then you can move out of your place and get a new smoke free place, perhaps get a cat.

Yep, lately pretty bad. I lay awake at night and say sure, I can smoke tomorrow. Its like Im fantasizing about it.

So, right now about all I seem to have going for myself is Im not smoking. I cant find anything to replace it.

Surely Im supposed to have something to enjoy? am I? Its not food, I make myself eat, not TV or music, not_____ its been going on 5 years. I wish I had a kitty, but cant have one here. So what to enjoy when you dont enjoy anything?

Smoking smells worse all the time, but it still sounds good..............
