Hey Buggerdb!!!

Never ever a need to say you are sorry here!!!  The only sorry one is the nico-demon!!!  He is losing his grasp of each and every one of us every day!!!

Most of us here have had to sit back and do a little bit of reflection!!!  Some of the best and most influential posters here need to take a hiatus every now and then!  So just do what it takes for YOU to get through another minute or hour or day smoke free!!!  We'll still be here and be happy when you're posting again!

The MOST important thing to remember though is this...  if that super-crave hits you and you think you're just about ready to head to that convenience store to buy that pack you BETTER get on here and post and scream for help!!!  Is that a deal?

You didn't shut down, you didn't smoke!!!  I am so happy for you!!!  Now go do a gratitude list and find 10 things to be grateful for, ie. (1) I did not smoke, (2)------

That stinking thinking has got me in trouble way to many times, please don't let it happen to you.  It is not worth it.  Picture this: a shoe box lid off, put monster inside, put lid on, tape it shut, take box for a drive and dump in a landfill or a trash can and drive away.  Leave the monster in the trash!!

Hang on in there guys- the very thought of doing that time again should keep you focused. You are both doing so well too. Believe has got it right, keep reading and posting, and keep away from any temptations. Good luck guys- you'll be just fine.

Hi believe......19 days!!!.....Awesome......

The mental part of Quitting is not an easy thing either.  After you get rid of the drug in your body, the addict wants it back!!  And wants it badly!!!
Cravings will get less severe and even less frequent as time goes on.  We always have to be on guard though....the addict does NOT play fair and will attack at the worst times.  I've learned N.O.P.E.......spoken firmly and perhaps 3-4 times in a row does a good job putting the addict down.

You're doing very well believe.....Be PROUD and be STRONG.........
Keep the Quit

Hang in there.  I am on day 19 and struggling this morning.  I find that if I check in a few times a day and just read I can keep going. I realized at the end of the day on Sunday I hadn't had any cravings that day as I was so busy. So it will get easier as I have hopes that those types of days will become more frequent.

Hang on Bugger!
It gets better. The first two weeks are the worst. Just focus your attention in one smoking tought at a time and defeat it. Stay in the present and you will conquer the nicodemon.
Right now you are nicotine free. It's your brain the one trying to lure you into the nicotine trap. We conditioned our brain to
ask for cigarrettes in many situations. Now we have to deprogram it. Our brain is addicted. But we know better. We were born with a nonsmoking brain and we will return our brain to its original condition.
Hang on, reward yourself, and do whatever you want to do. Spoil yourself but don't smoke.
We are rooting for your success!!!

I don't think you have anything to be sorry for!   The fact is, sometimes in your quit, you need to be a little selfish and protect your quit and do whatever you can to protect your quit.  Helping others sometimes has to come second.  Congrats for keeping your quit through the super cravings!!!

Haven't been posting in a couple days, I have been around, just not posting.  Apparently nicodemon jerk decided he wasn't done with the supercravings yet.  A lot of stress, triggers, anger, everything for the last 2 days.  The feel good end to hell week is gone.   Haven't even really felt motivated to give motivation, sorry to all those going through the first couple weeks like I am, I completely shut down.    Only good thing is the demon hasn't won yet... hopefully I can keep this going, and the rest of the week will be a little better.
