How are you, OWB?  Welcome to the site.  Aloha and the others have given you pointers about Champix and weaning off it. I happily went from the 2mg to 1 mg and then to none within a few days and felt no noticeable changes in my cravings.
  I too suffer with chronic pain - what are you doing for pain management? Substitute deep breathing when you feel the pain level rise ... remember that smoking serves no purpose in your life now.  What do you think about taking a course of Vitamin B Complex ?  It makes me feel uppy in general. I don't even muse about the placebo affect any more!
   You sound like a very sensible fella and your two nippers will thank you for your quit - a Daddy who smells good! Yay!
