thrivingincanada,

You are so right. Keeping busy and keeping your mind off of smoking is extremely important! Drinking lots of water is important as well, especially in the warm weather!

You present such a great and positive attitude, keep it up!
Hope you have a great smoke free day,

Hey Thrivin, Good 4 u, your doing awesome. and as far as the roller coaster that will eventually level off. I hate to say it but if getting rid of cigarettes was easy everybody would be rid of them don't ya think? It really does take strength and courage and a bit of "HP". I did manage to get 3 weeks and it's already way worth it. I can tell you that week three was way better than week 2. I really like wat an earlier poster wrote: "it's alot better to crave than to wish i could quit". the wishing to quit lasted alot longer than the hard crave. for me i just kept checking my stats and watched the minutes run into hours and the hours run into days. I do remember in my first weekend i spent the entire day on this site so i wouldn't smoke. Do what you need to but please don't smoke. for me I wanna live long enough to spend my canada pension that i've been paying to the government all these years. haha and truly i have alot more reasons to live such as my two beautiful granddaughters who are 18 months and 6 months old.  you have a good day buddy and remember nothing is worth a dirty, stinky, discusting cigarette.!!!!!

Have alot more energy I know that! Anyways, I love posting here. Something I look forward too. :-) Thanks everyone for being there for me. Support is defnitly a big help. This site is great! Sleep well everyone! Nite

Well, I just had a little moody moment with a family member on the phone. This person was essentially giving me advice on how to stay off the smokes when they have never really smoked ( a few when that person was a teen). I kinda snapped a little. Oopsy. Another new day ahead. This is the day that counts more then the one before or the one after. Have a great day all! :-)
