Peace Screw them .What I see is a person that no longer smokes period. The purpose behind NRT's is to slowly wean yourself from the addiction to nicotine thats all.I used the patch for 12 weeks my stats speak for themselves . :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 378 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,804 Amount Saved: $3,780.00 Life Gained: Days: 91 Hrs: 22 Mins: 24 Seconds: 42

Do whatever it takes. You don't have a cig in your mouth, right? so your not smoking..end of story. They are just jealous that you can do it mentally. Thats the really hard part and you are doing that first. Good for you. I'm into day 27 and am using the patch. I set a quit date, I told everyone - family, friends etc. that this will be my final quit. I also told them that I'm really 'pumped' this time as I've learned a lot about myself, my triggers, the stress factor and so on. People were very happy for me (majority of these people ARE smoker's), however, BIG TIME HOWEVER.. I've been hearing the following -- "If you're using the patch or any other NRT you aren't REALLY quit because you are still addicted to the nicotine so you're REALLY still smoking to get your fix just in another form." This statement has been repeated to me on a number of occasions and it's starting to really get to me. I've tried CT and I just can't go that route so the NRT is what got me to where I am today. My plan is to go through the entire program on the patch, but their words aren't helping me, not supporting me.. ya know? Thanks for listening.. just needed to get this out ... Peace :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 540 Amount Saved: $243.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 2 Mins: 29 Seconds: 56
