Jan, I use to call those "PJ" days and also count it as a reward. Enjoy it. You are doing great!!! Gee do I smell a guilt trip here.Nothing like an afternoon on the couch dosing off ,watching tv and just plain goofing off I do it all the time.Don't worry your self needlessly about it for some it is quite normall. Focus on the positive part of your quit 57 days is pretty good and remember I'm keeping an eye on you. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 370 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,660 Amount Saved: $3,700.00 Life Gained: Days: 90 Hrs: 2 Mins: 13 Seconds: 45

Yes Anxioux, I too am exactly like your hubby... always needing to keep busy. Jan maybe keeping physically busy will take your mind off of thinking ? That's why I keep busy with walking, housework, errands etc etc.. and man am I pooped out ! LOL ! And believe me it takes all I've got to get my butt outta the chair, off the couch, outta bed to do it. I'm so afraid that if I just plant myself that I'll think myself into such sadness, grief and loss (all related to the quit). I don't want to get depressed, rather I want to celebrate this quit and to think too much will make it so much harder. I say this from experience in my prior quits and I learned that yes, my motivation is low but no one but me is going to push me along so I just MOVE. Like your signature says Jan - "Quitting is hard..NOT quitting is harder" I so believe that.. have seen those commercials and there's a motivation right there to NOT end up at the 'end' as those people did in that commercial. Sending you ((((((((((((MOTIVATION)))))))))))) and strength ! :) Peace :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 19 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 380 Amount Saved: $171.00 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 5 Mins: 48 Seconds: 27

Thanks Anxious. You hit the nail on the head. I feel as though I have no motivation. Perhaps I'm using my energy just mentally trying to feel normal. I will definitely give my think tank a break! I don't know if it is NORMAL, what is, but I still feel that way. Almost like I have not motivation sometimes. I use up all my OOMPH just to make it through work so I don't get fired and then I am done. My husband complains about it a lot, he quit and he is a "need to keep busy" person, where I just want to sit and not move sort of person. I know what you are talking about Jan, but heal your mind, sometimes it just needs a break from thinking. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 109 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,270 Amount Saved: $408.75 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 22 Mins: 12 Seconds: 30

So, here goes. Today I didn't have to work. I went shopping this morning, tidied up the kitchen, made lunch and that was about it. My question is this. At nearly 60 days, I understand that my quit is fairly new, and that I'll still have "moments", for lack of a better work. I spent the entire afternoon on the couch, dosing off and watching TV, because I didn't feel like doing anything else. I felt down. So at nearly two months, please, please tell me this is normal! Thanks in advance, Jan My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/27/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 57 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,425 Amount Saved: $484.50 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 13 Mins: 18 Seconds: 2
