Gee do I smell a guilt trip here.Nothing like an afternoon on the couch dosing off ,watching tv and just plain goofing off I do it all the time.Don't worry your self needlessly about it for some it is quite normall. Yes Anxioux, I too am exactly like your hubby... always needing to keep busy. Jan maybe keeping physically busy will take your mind off of thinking ? That's why I keep busy with walking, housework, errands etc etc.. and man am I pooped out ! LOL ! And believe me it takes all I've got to get my butt outta the chair, off the couch, outta bed to do it. I'm so afraid that if I just plant myself that I'll think myself into such sadness, grief and loss (all related to the quit). I don't want to get depressed, rather I want to celebrate this quit and to think too much will make it so much harder. I say this from experience in my prior quits and I learned that yes, my motivation is low but no one but me is going to push me along so I just MOVE. Like your signature says Jan - "Quitting is hard..NOT quitting is harder" I so believe that.. have seen those commercials and there's a motivation right there to NOT end up at the 'end' as those people did in that commercial. I don't know if it is NORMAL, what is, but I still feel that way. Almost like I have not motivation sometimes. I use up all my OOMPH just to make it through work so I don't get fired and then I am done. My husband complains about it a lot, he quit and he is a "need to keep busy" person, where I just want to sit and not move sort of person. So, here goes. Today I didn't have to work. I went shopping this morning, tidied up the kitchen, made lunch and that was about it. My question is this. At nearly 60 days, I understand that my quit is fairly new, and that I'll still have "moments", for lack of a better work. I spent the entire afternoon on the couch, dosing off and watching TV, because I didn't feel like doing anything else. I felt down. So at nearly two months, please, please tell me this is normal!
