I am just thinking about my last 50 days being smoke free and I realise I have never known a life without cigarettes except the 15 years leading up to the time I began smoking at age 16 .
In the early years you dont think about the harm its doing but as time goes by and you start to get the warning signs like Its harder going up stairs, A walk to the local shop has you out of breath, The constant coughing, The wheeze at night, The constant lung infections and then the realisation that the cigarettes are taking your life away from you slowly but surely, I'm sure some of you know what I am talking about the terrible scourge of a lifetime of smoking
I want my life back, cigarettes contributed nothing to my life; they only caused pain and misery and cost a fortune in the process. I really want to keep this quit, I want to be free and healthy.
I read this quote somewhere and I would love this to apply to me for the rest of my life.
Id rather be a quitter with an occasional urge to smoke than a smoker with a constant need to quit.
Its the weekend so itll be Monday before I can catch up Thank you for all the support and kindness.
I wish all of you the very best especially the newbies like me hang in there it is hard But as the elder quitters say the Rewards and the Future are worth it.
