hang in there rockstar. I read somewhere it normally takes a few tries before the quit... I think that is where my "thinking" came this time. I am saying I Quit.. not I'm trying to Quit ... really hope the mindset makes the BIG diffeence. Some really stressfull times aheahd soon..... Rockstar --- I am sorry to hear you are having a rough go at it. I feel I let you down by disappearing lately. I am sorry I wasn't there for my Fellow Fabulous February Freebird! Don't get down on yourself. You have done great and will continue to do great! I know what it's like to slip and slip and slip. Take some days to get yourself ready and go at it again. We will do it eventually! We just have to start picturing ourselves without the cigarette. And then we have to think about it without a cigarette. It's a step program, one at a time. Come on Rockstar.. You have helped and encouraged me.. you even wrote a little song. Come on back.. emotional upsets are part of quitting. Got into a tiff with my husband yesterday.. together almost 18 yrs...lol and I can probably count on one hand how many tiffs we've had. It's the "junkie" in there still trying to get that nicotine.. so I fed him a gummy worm.... I will either be addicted to gummy worms.. or hate the site of them... soon. Rockstar, I am sorry, I did not intend to hurt your feelings with my post. It was meant to be motivational! You gotta get through the first weeks smoke free, and it gets easier, but if you are having a cig here and one there, then I am sorry, that's not quit! Smoking is an addiciton and one puff is all it takes to be back smoking full time. I know, because I have quit many many times. :) Stick with us! Keep trying! Smoking doesn't help a singing voice either!
