Curiosity

Bear - Just make sure you don't get curious again! "Curiousity" can become a mind game....let me see how one feels - I wonder if another one would seem the same - I'm curious if now that time has passed if another one would do anything for me. Before you know it you're on your 4th "test". I don't mean to burst your bubble - I am proud of you Bear & glad that the non-smoking life was reinforced & confirmed for you. But you know me - I worry about you and I can be tough! Rock on, Bear!! Proud of you! I think that one of the best things I have noticed so far is the fact that my clothes don't stink anymore!! And, I sure can smell it on the people that do still smoke, far more so than I ever realized when I was a smoker. (Jeez, isn't that past tense "was a smoker" great?) Congratulations!! An old saying says it killed the cat.Well it dam near killed me today. One of my fellow borders returned early this morning from work because of the weather ( he has a government job ;)).I was out clearing snow again. He always stops to talk when ever he see,s me.He's also a smoker. As we were chatting he reached in his pocket and pulled out a package of cigarettes and he offered me one and I accepted more out of curiosity than the desire to smoke.Well I'll tell you the first drag on that baby just about floored me.I got dizzy my head started to spin and I thought I was either going to pass out or throw up I could feel the smoke going down my windpipe and into my lungs and rush to my brain. That was an hour ago and my clothing still smells.Well my darlings why I ever took up smoking is beyond me.That has to be the most disgusting thing I have ever done in my life and I wonder how I ever became addicted to that.I'm glad I had that smoke it's not for everybody but it confirmed one thing to me I"M A NONSMOKER now and I love it. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 323 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,814 Amount Saved: $3,230.00 Life Gained: Days: 78 Hrs: 13 Mins: 59 Seconds: 5
