In the throes of day 5...and surviving!!!!

Well, of course you're surviving, Jan58. You know how to do this. *takes Jan58's little hand in hers & looks deeply into Jan58's eyes*, so stop doing it over & over again. It' too hard to have to do this many times. Do it this time, you know you can & we know you can. Hang in, believe in yourself & always, always, come here before you smoke. I agree with Den, too - Take good care of yourself right now, and pamper yourself. You're doing great, and this won't last forever! Jan Congrats!! I agree with Den, do not worry about your weight loss program this week... Exercise if you can... relieves stress and it's hard walk fast and smoke at the same time!!!!!!! My first two weeks, I spent alot of time cleaning out stuff.. anything, closets, drawers, cars, underbeds.. I drove my family crazy.. The key for me was to distract and delay!! Lots of luck, read & post.. STAY busy!!! Jan keep on doing what you are doing. It's working for you so far. And most of all keep on coming here to get that support you need at this time. I think you are right, as awesome as it is that you have lost 15lbs with JC, this first "hell week" is not the time to get upset over not sticking to the weight loss program. Let yourself get thru this first week, next week, even tomorrow, will be easier. THen you will be able to balance your programs better. Take care of yourself during this time and know that we are here for you. I don't quite know how, because today has been the most challenging so far. I'm irritable, etc., etc., and its nice to be able to say that to one group of people who TRULY understand. All of you. And for that I am grateful. I belong to Jenny Craig and have recently lost 15 pounds. This week I haven't been quite so successful on the program. But I'm giving myself a little leeway right now. At first I was upset over not sticking to my program. I realized this wasn't rational at the moment, and that it will come. My JC cousellor is trying to help me with this as well. Onward to day six!!!!!
