Cuban - I'm sorry things are so crazy for you now. I know how it feels - been there, done that with the divorse, and the custody. You can get her back - meanwhile, don't ruin your relationship with her by being angry, sad, and bitter. OK? I think you should pamper yourself, and maybe look aorund and take note of some of the blessings in your life. I promise you that this won't last forever. I also promise that there won't be terminal consequences and your daughter won't be permanantly damaged or scarred, and things ALWAYS work out! You hear me? Your job is just to love her, and then when the time is right, you'll get her back! My heart aches for you, because I so know how you feel. You're not alone, OK? Also - Maybe you should reconsider vegas as a reward! lol ... smoking central there! It's more like a test of your resolve than a reward. I live right across the river from Laughlin NV, and I haven't been on that side of the river for anything in a year and a half! Cuban, Slow down and look around! We are all here for you and we are not here to judge. Take it day by day and start saving money and making those ends meet. Put your cigarette money in a sealed jar and see it grow. This will help with rewards and bills! Communication is key and you and your daughter will fair well. Taking care of yourself first is the priority. We are ready when you are :) Josie, Health Educator

Hello Crazycuban, Thanks for the chilling reminder that a slip is all it takes to set me right back in the Black Hole. Keep thinking about your outdoorsy hobbies and your lungs... Well I let the anger, depression and wonderful NYS court system get the best of me and I ruined my quit again. My daughter has moved out, my car broke down and I have to get a second job to make ends meet. The worst of it is I'm missing my daughter sooooo much!! She's finding the grass isn't greener on the other side. I regret smoking again and kicking myself in the ash. I've reset my meter to quit again on the 9th. I'm still going to Vegas in March and have to quit again because that is the reward I gave to myself and I want to be smoke free for it. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be able to quit longer than a couple of months. I really thought I had it licked this time and went back to counseling but not having my daughter with me hurts so much. She was one of my triggers with breaking rules and recreational activities I don't condone but I guess in NY if your 15 you can say where you want to live. Anyway I'll be away on business for a couple of days and will continue to read and see where I keep going wrong. For anyone new here please it's not worth it to start again!!!!
