Tubbies, me too, wow this is like being in labor or something, the waves of pain, but know what ? we can do this, look around this place and see all these people and how many and how long they have been quit, pretty amazing, so if they can i know we can I hope your day gets better Ayla My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 24 Amount Saved: $6.90 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 3 Mins: 20 Seconds: 47

Hang in there Tina, The first few days are the hardest, but you can do this. If I can do it, anyone can. I smoked for 35 years, and the last five were 40 cigarettes a day. You did right by posting before giving in. Read all the posts you can, and you'll see how fast your cravings will pass. Water and deep breathing will help. You've got strength here at the SSC...Be strong. Hi Tina, Sorry to hear you're having a hard time. Find something to do that will help keep your mind off of smoking. Do you have a favorite movie you could watch? Make some popcorn, kick back and relax. Drinking lots of cold water and using a straw will also help. Hang in there, Tina. It will only get better if you let your body adjust and begin healing. Stay here, read, and post. This is better than smoking! hi everyone. my first day of giving up today. i usually smoke more throughout the day than i do in the evening. for some reason, i found today so much easier than i'm finding tonight. i'm using patches and have the inhalator ready but really don't want to use it. i know it's going to get so much worse before it gets better. a big part of me is saying i can do it, but the other part wants to give in already and put me out of my misery. tina My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/2/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 0 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 0 Amount Saved: 0.00 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 1 Mins: 10 Seconds: 13
