Last night I think I had a strange allergic reaction to something I ate: either cashews or MSG? I've never had this sort of reaction before to anything. I'm one of those "not allergic to anything", robust sorts of people. But last night, my face swelled some and became red, I had shortness of breath, I threw up, got a horrible head-ache, and got horrible chills/shakes/shuddering. No fever, but I was felt so cold..it was awful.
So my question is: is it possible that quitting smoking could have affected my body chemistry in a way that I'm becoming allergic to something I never used to react to?
