Hey Bear. I am right there with you. I went to the dentist last month to "reward" myself for not smoking (thinking I would get a nice clean and polish). Ended coming out of the surgery minus two teeth - so not such a great reward in terms of feeling good, lol (well smile gingerly anyway). They never tell you that smoking is bad for your dental health, but they should. Still, I went back today to get two fillings done and he said "Oh, I see you are still not smoking." So, yes, they can tell. If my teeth are the only price I pay for smoking over 30 a day for 25+ years, I'll consider myself lucky.
