Oh, mercy, I'm so sorry this is happening to your cousin, and as much as I understand how you feel, I have to say it is in no way anything you should feel guilty about. Nobody deserves to get lung cancer, smoker or not, and smoking isn't the only cause of it. It's very likely that no one will ever know why your cousin got it.
The important thing is that you are there for your cousin and the rest of your family, all the way there. Please try to let go of the guilt and the bad feeling, it won't do anyone any good, least of all your cousin.
