6) Do whatever it takes to remain smoke free! It's a lot easier to keep a good quit going than lose momentum by slipping or relapsing and having to start all over. 7) Rewards, rewards, rewards! Reward yourself for all of your hard work as often as you feel you need to... and especially on major milestones. If you don't, your addicted brain will crave even more because it wants a reward and is used to getting cigarettes as rewards. Reward it with something else to keep tough milestone-triggers away! Great post Stickin! Thanks for starting this awesome thread! Crave the Quit! 4) Accept that you are an addict & you can never have just one. Decide that you do not want addiction in your life. 5) Understand that a craving is often your reaction to an emotion you never learned how to handle without nicotine. Own it, face it, feel it.
