Xena, I'm glad that you want it so much, because you're going to need to. It's going to hurt, it's not going to be comfortable... and every time the craving for a cig threatens to overwhelm you... you'll have to say "no", and then go on to the next craving.
This isn't easy. For most of us it's very difficult.
4 hours, 4 days... four months. You take it a minute at a time, an hour at a time...whatever gets you through the day.
I started out in exactly the same place that you are. We all did. And many of us are well beyond that now... because we just didn't accept failure as an option.
Keep coming back to SSC, keep reading, keep talking about your experience, your hopes, dreams... all the things that keep you fighting to remain smoke free. Drink lots of water, suck on candy, use the patch or some other NRT if needed... Do WHATEVER you have to do in order to win your life back for one day; ...today.
We'll be here for you and we'll be rooting for you... but the really hard work will be done by you. ...If you want this bad enough.
We're here for you, Xena!! You can do this... Just accept whatever comes, and count that as the price of a new life.
