Sparky, Wow, buddy....that is a whole lot of stuff to deal with at once. I'm glad you're taking care of yourself today. Sounds like it's a good thing that the dentist appt identified possible problems early for your husband. I hope you hear from your grandson soon. Hang in there and keep taking care of yourself. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 186 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,440 Amount Saved: $1,264.80 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 0 Mins: 6 Seconds: 56

Hey Sparky. Glad you posted, because you are right, it seems to feel better afterwards - getting it out. Don't have to tell you Mom, that you have no control over what happens. You can only control your reaction. You've been holding on for a long time to some of these things. Time to hand them over. Know that your are thought of a lot by many people, and you will get through this - without smoking. No good reasons, right? Sparky, You didn't smoke! You have a lot on your plate, what are you doing to combat this? Use relaxation techniques or walk at night after the kitchen renovations are put to rest. This is you time and if you don't release that stress, it will only get the better of you. Perhaps start a journal and write to your grandson everyday. When you see him, present him with it. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family :) Josie, Support Specialist

Hi Sparky, One GREAT thing about your post; you did not ever say that all these stressors made you want to smoke. Now, that is a non smoker. I hope all goes well with you hubby. And, after painting your kitchen, you should join a yoga class! Thanks for all the support you give here at scc. and hope today is a better day for you. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 121 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,904 Amount Saved: $605.00 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 17 Mins: 16 Seconds: 28

Hang in, it does suck sometimes but it sucks so much more if you smoke! Hi Sparky, H.A.L.T. is very important. The kitchen can wait. Its an inanimate object and therefore doesn't move. Best wishes for your husbands tests. Sometimes we fear more than neccessary. I hope in this case all is clear and that worrying was for nothing. Most importantly, look after yourself. Some decent sleep can make the world of difference to viewpoints. Seeing things with fresh eyes.
