Hey Kelly, next time your son tells you its a dictatorship, ask him what would he do if he was the parent, Really and truly? it actually stops them in their track for a moment, and nine times out of ten they will really think about it in that manner, yah whay would you do? Gotta love them anyway. They do come around! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 200 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,000 Amount Saved: $2,110.00 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 10 Mins: 38 Seconds: 27

Wish I could get to this bonfire a little earlier one of these times! Can't join you guys in a beer but maybe I could tempt you with a semi-local delicacy of Bury black pudding and mushy peas? Children are lovely and a blessing: I was going, recently, to the 3rd part of a course on dealing with dementia and my daughter said 'Is it for you Mum?' Gen :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 177 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,832 Amount Saved: 885.00 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 11 Mins: 5 Seconds: 36

I'll throw this part of parenting in the fire for now, Lainey. I've had more fun at the dentist. I wish I would have told him that about being a good parent. Sometimes I forget all the good comebacks when I'm in the moment and pissed off. Haha!!! He was totally offended that this house is a dictatorship and he wasn't having it. HAHAHAHA! Uhh...yeah! Well, I've never tried Canadian beer but any beer is good beer in my book. Thanks, Unhooked. Care to join me? How about you Aloha? I'm thinkin' you could use a little down time with a nice cold beer and a big fire fueled with sadness, fear, frustration and anger among other things that we don't have to carry with us anymore (for now). Cheers Lainey and Tam, how's that rye and gingerale? mmmmmmmm... canadian beer My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 810 Amount Saved: $157.95 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 9 Mins: 52 Seconds: 49

They all go thru that stage, and thats all it is, a stage. Kelly, my youngest used to pull that one too, I told him it was my responsiblity to be a good parent and I was going to be one whether he liked it or not. I also used to tell them, that it was their responsibilty as a member of this family to keep their room tidy or help out at home. About 50% success on that one. Ain't parenting fun! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 200 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,000 Amount Saved: $2,110.00 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 9 Mins: 41 Seconds: 40

Can you stand Canadian beer, kelly? Of course you can, tough broad that you are. Here ya go, ice cold Kokanee, get you a smokie hun? My kids tell me I'm a horrible mother all the time, I just tell them I would be a better mom if I had better kids. Maybe he's horrible. He's the third and last to get through high school. I made it by the skin of my teeth with the other two and refrained from throwing them in the fire. I suppose I'll survive this one. Probably. But, guess what? We had it out tonight worse than we ever have. He told me I was a horrible mother. I got angry, frustrated and even went in my bedroom and cried a little and when I had relaxed a minute and calmed down I realized I had done it all without once even thinking of a cigarette. So cool! That junkie must have known it was bonfire night and decided to keep a low profile. Now, who brought beer cuz I can't drink rye with the big girls and I need a drink? kelly, he's 14! How long after you were 14 did you think about settling down? I'm still not sure I'm ready. 14 year old boys are not the most emotionally aware creatures on Earth and you could hold their feet to the fire for a long time & they would not notice because they're consumed with Brittany & Jessica. Their mind is a lot higher up. Will be till they're 23 & they reach the age of reason. Thanks Kelly, I like the 5000 not smoked! Hey Tam the rye is less shall we say 'potent' if you add gingerale instead of coke! :8o: My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 200 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,000 Amount Saved: $2,110.00 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 9 Mins: 37 Seconds: 28
