Mornin' Danno! Yep, sendin' good thoughts your way and Valerie's way. Yeah, I guess comfortable might have been a poor choice of words. I have, however, read some members say they felt fine right away and never had crave, problem, etc. Not the case here. I think about not smoking a lot still but not quite as obsessively as earlier, say the first three weeks. Not having any cravings now or since week two, really, but every now and again I get one of those mental pangs that spike right away and are gone just a fast. I wouldn't say they last more than two or three seconds. Very odd what your mind can do to you or for you, isn't it? Hang in there, Danno. You have a super attitude. I have no doubt that you are going to continue to be successful. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,200 Amount Saved: $234.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 14 Mins: 34 Seconds: 32

Good going Dan!!That is wonderful about your sister. Now you have to set a good example for her. Lot of pressure Huh? You can do it. I was advised that it is best to stay confident but not too cocky. Never let your gaurd down!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 75 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,250 Amount Saved: $360.00 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 12 Mins: 59 Seconds: 30

Danno How wonderful, about your sis!!! I keep working on my "Brother Dearest". he has influenced me a few times to try..and sent me meds to help even. Now it's my turn to show him it can be done. I think he is waiting till he knows it is his Final Quit, since he sees that this is mine ;) As for those swollen feet/ankles...I've had them too. Once before I quit (after the New Orleans jazz fest) and twice since quitting (another new Orleans jazz fest..lol..and now recently). Ive been doing some med tests, just to make sure it isnt major heart/artery problems....weirdnesses My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 196 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,840 Amount Saved: $1,332.80 Life Gained: Days: 27 Hrs: 7 Mins: 45 Seconds: 19

Hey Kelly! God luv ya for thinking about me! I hope your sending good thoughts my way? I could always use them. How are you doing? I'm ok here. I don't want to say that I'm "comfortable" in my quit. Cause I'm not really. I still crave now and then. I know I'm not going to smoke anymore though, and thats all that matters right? I'm not ever going to say that I'm comfortable with this, cause I know myself too well. If I'm comfortable with it, i'll push the envelope. Not going to let that happen here! LOL! Yeah...I'm just THRILLED about my sis quitting! This is going to give her SO much needed confidence in herself. I'm really happy about it! Send some of your good thoughts her way ok? Her name is Valerie. Guess I've yammered enough for now. Thanks Kelly for checking in on me. I really do appreciate it! Hi Danno, I was thinking about you today and wondering how you were doing. Haven't heard much from you lately. I guess that means you are getting comfortable in your quit, yeah? That's so great! Big news about your sis, too! Good for her and good for you for setting the example of what CAN be done! Yay, Danno!!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 40 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,200 Amount Saved: $234.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 13 Mins: 39 Seconds: 38

Time for more balloons!! First of all...hello everyone! Hope you all are doing well?? Now for the balloon news! My sister and Nephew came out tonight. Remember I mentioned my sis a few posts ago? She came out cause we like to sit and talk over coffee. Well, she came in and I noticed she didn't have her smokes with her. I didn't say anything...after all, she might have left them in the car. Very soon after sitting down, my 14 year old nephew blurts out..."Mom hasn't had a smoke in 3 days!" WOOHOO!! My sis quit! She wasn't as heavy a smoker as I was, but she's smoked for just as long. WOW...how cool is that? I knew she wanted to quit after I did, and was asking me all kinds of questions about it. I'm SO VERY proud of her!! I'm trying to talk her into coming on here and meeting everyone. She's up in the air about it at the moment, but i'll keep trying! OK guys...I'm out for the night. Just wanted to share my news!! just got my brother left now that is still smoking. Time to work on him?? LOL! Danno, Although there are considerable changes going on in your body at the moment, swollen feet and ankles is not common among quitters. Please consult your doctor. Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist
