So here I sit. I have created a new way to handle my weekends. I put off chores yesterday for today. Usually in between each chore I have smoke. So what I have done is taken my laptop, propped it on my coffee table in the breakfast nook - and in between each chore I get on here, catch my breath and proceed.
I woke at 8am. Let the dog out, and rested a bit more, but it felt forceful. I finally got back up at about 9:15. There is a cat that adopted some time ago outside - stray - she had kittens. So I have 4 kittens and adult cat on my porch. I went to clean their cat box and just straighten up and my asthma reaction went through the roof. So I'm sitting here settling down after two inhalers at two inhalations a peice.
I'm coughing a little more today too. Bringing up crap with it, but I suppose that is my lungs detoxifying. Blowing my nose alot. This is all worth it though to be smoke free!
It is nice outside - it is sunny, a little chill but I love it - I can smell the fall air. It is my favorite time of year. Warm sweater and tea standing outside. Just now I won't be polluting myself.
I made it through my first weekend (well almost, but I will) smokefree. It feels good. I noticed my partner making a concerted effort to quite herself. She is even telling me how many she has had in a day. She is weening herself off. I need to get her on here. But I think she is afraid of failure somewhat. She will be on in due time. For now, i'm not pushing it. I'm just glad she is outside and away from me when she is smoking.
Well, Let me get some dishes done. I will get back on in a bit.
Thanks for reading! And all the support!
