Hanging by a rope!!!

Sparky - Grab my hand...I'll help you along on that rope. Life has really been rotten these last few days and I wish that I could help. While it's tempting to throw in the towel when things are so bad, it won't help. Life will always be a roller coaster ride (We know that...cause we've been riding that roller coaster for awhile) But I disagree...I think there will be a day when we will be free to live life on life's terms. That monkey may always be on our back but he gets tinier and less powerful as time goes on. Each time we get through a difficult time without smoking, he becomes more powerless and we realize that we CAN cope without cigarettes (In fact, they did nothing for us - honest!) We love ya Spark and we want you to live a long, long life so we can be sassy old ladies in the Nursing Home with those cute Orderlies running up and down the halls. You're doing great, Sparky. I'm sorry you're having a hard time but it's so awesome that the junkie hasn't been able to convince you that smoking will help! Whatever is going on, I'm sending you my hope & strength for the best possible outcome. You are not weak, my friend, you are strong. You have been proving it for 117 days and you just proved it again. Be proud of yourself, you're doing a hard thing during a hard time. Be good to yourself, and you know where to find a little extra if you need it. There seems to a lot of posts with the word tightrope in it. It has my attention. These last few days have been full of personal happenings.(hell) A couple of them are extremely stressful and totally out of my control. Yesterday that dam monster knew I was weak and came at me full forces. OMG I have been living in a mental hell. No I have not smoked, but. I am scared to death of losing my quit. That dam monster and his committee are talking and talking and talking. (Holding my head and screaming) I was able to chat with a good friend last night and another one this morning. I read Riverdales post Walking on Eggshells, Nonic's post and Rusty reply and the little person and big person. Helps a lot. You all help more than you know. What I do know is I will never be free of living life on lifes terms until the day I die. Now I just have to accept and adjust. I am now off Chantix and that is also in the mix. Second guessing myself on whether I should have called the doctor and asked for more. See how the weekend goes and make decision on Monday. I am home safe and sound. No worry of smoking this day :) Keep the Quit Sparky My Milage: My Quit Date: 4/30/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 117 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,170 Amount Saved: $351.00 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 19 Mins: 49 Seconds: 4
