Going away for vacations!!!

when i went away on vacation earlier in my quit, i printed out a list of things to do/say if i was tempted to smoke. I used the list a few times. I'm going to find that list and bump it up for you, Catrafusa. Also, it might help to appoint one of your friends to be the guardian of your quit, who will not let you smoke, no matter what. Have fun, and stay quit! -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 140 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,600 Amount Saved: $952.00 Life Gained: Days: 19 Hrs: 14 Mins: 23 Seconds: 12

I hate to point to certain brands of substitutes but if I were in your shoes and were going to be hanging around with smokers that early in a quit, I'd choose Altoids. They're strong and keep you busy. Sour candy like Icebreaker Sours or other strong breath mints really help as well. Chew on a straw or better yet, spit sunflower seeds at your dirty smoker friends. Good luck and congradulations on three days smoke free! Catrafusa, Be careful and plan ahead! It will be a test so have coping strategies at the ready. You may also find it useful to moderate your alcohol consumption as it lowers inhibitions and clouds judgment. Have a good trip and congrats on day 4! Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist
