Ex-Roller, You betcha! If I have even a minor urge to smoke then I will leave. Its weird, 90% of people I know in pubs smoke. So the inside is deserted and the outside is the place to be. It just means that I sit there watching others smoke. The successful pub will be one that caters well for the smokers (heaters, shelter etc) and the non-smokers (entertainment, food, clean bar, atmosphere etc). Given that in most uk pubs, in the winter, the outside is never used. You could in fact make more money than normal years. That is what I would do if I was a landlord anyway. The real truth of the matter? I used to go to pubs so I could smoke as much as possible without getting moaned at. So now that I don't smoke, I may spend less time in pubs. Btw, Aloha I love the Saturday Pamper idea! Its a go-er. But it depends on me making it through today without being ordered to work yet another weekend. Some time to myself would be a major reward. And of course sleep! I swear you have the powers of ESP. Remember the red shoes? Good news is that my watch should arrive today, as the strike is over for the time being. You'd laugh but I paid for next day delivery...on Sunday. 5 days later ... :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 22 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 550 Amount Saved: 92.40 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 18 Mins: 38 Seconds: 39

Wotcha Kev! Just stopping by to congratulate you on your quit and also the fact you are clearly a good role model at work, how cool is that? Be good this weekend - I know what you mean about pubs but isn't it nice in them now they're non smoking and that we don't have to join the ranks of those saddos outside? I am so smug these days lol My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 43 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 645 Amount Saved: 107.50 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 17 Mins: 7 Seconds: 40

Aloha, maybe it is a good thing. You know what animal hair they make those hats out of? :) We have a bunch of weird customs over here what with the bear hatted soldiers and stocking wearing guards (in the houses of parliment). Lolo, nice to see you! What happened to the phone photo? I'm gonna have to find one of early kev too. Gen, mmm sausages. Walls? Don't worry the swelling goes down apparently. Thats what they always say to me. Right, I Kev, promise to my friends here and my quit buddy that I will not smoke today. aw kev, I can just picture you in one of those major domo costumes...with the big hat like the palace guards?...and strutting down the street with knees raised, and a big baton..you mean that is not how you lead the Good News Tuesday parade???? Dang! Another illusion shattered. Well, I really hope you are getting to sleep in this weekend. I know that is jumping the gun a bit, but you need and deserve it, and maybe it will help you get through Friday, so I'd like to proclaim this Saturday Pamper Kev Day. You are due for some lazing around...a nice hot scented bath, a favorite read, some new music, and a good movie or dvd. -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 133 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,320 Amount Saved: $904.40 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 15 Mins: 51 Seconds: 32

Hi Kev. Imagine a packet of pork sausages. Now imagine two of them. Place them side by side. That's my feet. Well, you asked. Hi Aloha, yes it means that at least one more is serious about giving up. He's on patches for the past three days and has been at the tic-tacs like a sweet eating monster. I've told him about here in case he feels the need :) I will never be a leader thankfully. More of a crackpot guide :) . Its a good thing considering how much I have to concentrate on not smoking. But should someone ask what a normal quitter is likely to go through, I have a great source of information!
