And Aloha, bless your cottons. I'm glad I have some strong women around to remind me. I promise to all you lovely people at the SSC and to my quit buddy (she's just traveled 600 miles to see a dentist!) that I, JDK, promise that I WILL NOT SMOKE TODAY. Nance, thanks. Never thought i'd make it 3 days on CT let alone 18! I've shocked a lot of people (not many had faith I could make it except you guys). Touch and go that I make each day sometimes, maybe even an element of luck involved. But any way is still a way. Nance, do you remember back to your first month, and how does it compare to day 166? This is 'yay day' today so am looking at positives. If you can remember it roughly, see if you can describe a day within that month and a day now. Thats kevs yay day challenge to you :) 'Yay' days are good. So let me start it off by giving a couple of smileys :) :) and wishing all my fellow quitters a great day. It is shining here for the second day running. Sue, you know what. I had soo many problems posting and then I realised what the problem was. I was using the pointy brackets and it did not like it. Nowadays I use '(' and ')'. Maybe same for you? ... yes, pointy brackets is a technical term used by techies :) Btw, I love the cat photo. Both you and john have cat photos. Just one bigger than the other. Kevin, I just wanted to share a tip I used in my early days...don't know why I haven't done it before now... I have a tube of hand lotion in my desk, and whenever I got the urge to smoke, I would massage the lotion into each hand, massaging each finger, joint, knuckle, etc. It took about 5 minutes...about the time it would take to smoke a cigarette. Worked for me, and knowing how you like certain scents, it might work for you (If I were you, I don't think I would go for the floral scents, you may want something a little more masculine!) My hands felt great, smelled great, and looked great. Have I told you lately how proud of you I am? You have come such a long way in the past 18 days! Keep going! xoxoxox Nance My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 166 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,980 Amount Saved: $805.10 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 5 Mins: 39 Seconds: 34
