Stagered or Straight

16 years ago 0 3875 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
According to the experts in gardening planting plants in a curve or in odd numbers is more esthetically pleasing to the eye than planting in a straight row or square box! (Trivia for the day...) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 144 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,600 Amount Saved: $1,519.20 Life Gained: Days: 17 Hrs: 15 Mins: 40 Seconds: 21

Best to stagger them and don't plant even numbers, it looks too planned. Just throw them down and where they land is the best! ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 69 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 966 Amount Saved: $241.50 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 14 Mins: 10 Seconds: 44

So sorry Bear, I misunderstood. I thought you were talking about stepping in something while you were planting, my bad. Just don't smoke, but crazies can be fun! I say mix it up Bear, a littel chaos keeps things interesting & more fun. Smoke-free gardening is a geat reward, just enjoy it no matter how your plants end up (not upside down though). Philosophically speaking, if they are annuals it doesn't really matter what way you plant them 'cos they're gonna die and rot anyway! Did they have any sand spare at the golf course? You could create your very own bunker - that'd last a while longer and look aesthetically pleasing plus you could whack the sand all over the place with your wedge - very satisfactory for those craving moments that you don't have any more! Is that lunacy contagious through the ether; sure feels like it! And boxer, mosaic virus sounds very pretty too! By the way, I'm still not smoking. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1164 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 23,280 Amount Saved: 5,820.00 Life Gained: Days: 186 Hrs: 23 Mins: 44 Seconds: 49

I say staggered and I think your plants will be happy that you are smoke free! I've done a lot of gardening over the years and I know that some plants become very unhappy when you touch them if you have nicotine on your fingers (tomatoes, for example). There is a name for the disease, but I don't remember what it's called. Hubby says it also affects pepper plants. Tobacco mosaic virus (per hubby).
