This is a really good post.
I was away last week on a conference, staying in hotel rooms - I thought my craves suddenly took a nose-dive for the worst - and then realised these were not craves at all, just thoughts or associations as in my previous life I would be planning ways to get out and have a smoke.
It was a really hard test for me, and the thoughts felt almost physical, but thankfully I have remained smoke-free.
I just can't wait for the day when these thoughts don't attack so harshly - yeah I was able to push them out of my mind and they would go, no problem, but they were back every half hour or so and quite intense.
Now I'm home again, they are almost non existant...
