I haven't started one of these in quite some time, but since one hasn't been started yet today, I think I'll take the liberty of doing it.
Weekends are sometimes the most challenging situations to get through smoke free because for many of us, we don't work and are faced with boredom or are in tempting situations like drinking or socializing with smoking friends. When I first quit, I didn't ever post to the weekend promise because just going 5 minutes without smoking was a chore... promising to go a whole weekend just seemed like too much. But when I finally did start posting to the weekend promise, I found that it was a lot easier for me to stay quit for the whole weekend. I had a purpose and a goal and a whole site full of people I didn't want to let down.
So now I urge everybody, whether this is your first smoke free weekend or your 100th or more, join in to pledge to stay smoke free this weekend!
