Hi Lynette Congratulations on your decision to quit. Your mom will be proud of you. I had thoughts of buying cigs a lot when I first started my quit. Now I barely think about them when i am shopping except for the gas station where I used to buy them the most. I don't even buy gas there anymore because i did not want to have to deal with it. Hang in there, you can do this. Chantix and this site are the best. Let us know if we can help. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 84 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,100 Amount Saved: $420.00 Life Gained: Days: 8 Hrs: 22 Mins: 36 Seconds: 7

Lynette, Congratulations on the decision you will never regret. This time your quit is forever! The chantix is a wonderful aid. Keep a positive attitude, read a lot, post a lot, and use the tools at the left. You'll be a great quitter! :) Nance My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 99 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,970 Amount Saved: $480.15 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 20 Mins: 26 Seconds: 39

Well I tried to quit in January and it lasted 33 days. Why I started back up again I have no idea. So today is my official first non smoking day. I had my last one at 1pm yesterday. I am currently taking chantix. What motovaited me this time was that my mother has decided to quit and she is going on a week. I'm so proud of her. I'm going there for the holiday weekend and I want to be smoke free with her. So anyways this first day is hard. I went to the store to get some OJ this morning and thought about buying cigs. Then I thought about the smell I would have on my clothes. So I didn't but I sure did want to. So wish me luck.
