Hi Ryan, not sure why your post got buried, but welcome to the SSC. I think you will find that the support and companionship, as well as the information, will be very helpful to you. Be sure to start reading the program workbook over on the left. It will help you understand more about addiction. Make a list of your reasons for quitting and carry it with you. Take one hour at a time, telling yourself "I won't smoke this next cigarette."
Remember that the only way to quit is to not ever light another cigarette. Yes, the withdrawal can be uncomfortable for a while, but the only way to get through it is to push on through. Craving won't kill you -- cigarettes will!
