I'm Back!

Ahhh, thanks for the luv guys...you're all wonderful. Yeah, I do know what to expect this time around. Yesterday was an evil day (horribly cranky) but today is going alright...even went 4 hours before patchin' it. I'm changing one major thing this time. Calling it my "quit" renders feelings that I'm giving up something, when I'm actually gaining...so I'm tossing "quit". I'm gaining the ability to breathe, energy, money, self-respect, whiter teeth and a more beautiful smell (for I really do love my perfumes). My husband says I spend too much time workin' on trucks and playing in the mud to smell my fruity aromas. At least I smell purrrrty for the first bit of the day!! ;) If I went three weeks...I can go four...if I can go four...I can go five...... Have a great day ppl's!! I'll be around. My condolences to you and sorry to hear about this tough time in your life. One good thing can come out of this, your conviction to keep your quit. Death is a BIG wake-up call to all of us. Am happy to see you back here, when you first came, I thought you must have chosen your name when the first big crave hit ..... How appropriate. Heya Holygeez, Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!! Congratulations on jumping right back into the fight with us. You know, I slipped and then had to start over again on Feb. 18th. Actually, I felt so bad from the slip and learned so much from that slip that I've felt so much stronger throughout this quit. So, I don't believe this will be harder on you. I believe you know what to expect and you know how to prepare for it. You also know that you can talk to us any ole time and we'll come running. ;) You sure CAN do this and we'll help you all that we can. holygeez...it's HOLYGEEZ!!! Welcome back Trace. Wow, I for one was missing you. I even put out a thread asking where you were (sorry mods...it was inappropriate and deserved to be deleted). Sorry to hear about your falling off the wagon, but dust yourself off and climb right back on. Hey now, hands off my forks though...oh, come to think about it, I've finished using mine so you can have them so long as you promise not to hurt anyone (except your nicodemon) with them ok? Hope you're quitting for you this time. So sorry to hear about your 4 relatives/friends passing. Quitting really is a matter of life and death, so get your coping tools ready. Prepare to be spending time with the dollfaces ... we're here for you. Hi Trace, Welcome back. Hey so you slipped and started smoking again it just reinforced your desire to get on the wagon again and beat this addiction. Come often and read and post. You can do it. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 16 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 328 Amount Saved: $104 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 6 Mins: 46 Seconds: 0

It's really tough to start over again. The truth is we start over everyday when we quit. The only issue I have is you should be careful not to loose faith with yourself. You have been through this before so this time will be harder, but can be done. Good luck Harrell - Free and Healing for Four Months, Five Days, 23 Hours and 46 Minutes, while extending my life expectancy 11 Days, by avoiding the use of 3175 nicotine delivery devices that would have cost me $478.71.

Hi Trace, I'm so sorry to hear of your recent struggles. Losing friends/relatives are very difficult indeed. Welcome back. It's time to roll up your sleeves, grab that addiction & send it on its' way. You CAN do this. You have seen firsthand that smoking didn't help any situations, so as long as your desire to be a non smoker is stronger than your desire to smoke, then you WILL make it. C'mon...ready..set....GO! Remember...one step at a time.
