Hi
My name is Colleen and I have not had a cigarette for 25 days and I am not sad about it or mad about it or feel like I am missing anything. Tonight I am so grateful to have been given this gift of freedom and life.
I have quit many times since I first got hooked back in high school. That was more than 30 years ago. Each time I quit I was pi**ed off that I couldn't smoke anymore but you could. Felt I was missing out. Felt I was denying myself something.
This time all I feel is freedom and RELIEF.
When I stopped trying to justify and rationalize my smoking and accept it for what it really was - an addiction, more powerful than me-I knew that as long as I never put the drug back into my body again I would remain quit.
Withdrawal sucks forsure but I can do this!
I am doing it!
For all of you who post ... thanks ... you are amazing!
For all of you who just read ... isn't this the best site ever?
For all of us ... Just4Today we never have to smoke again!
Colleen
