Hi, Daytime Mommy. Listen to me. You are not a failure. You keep trying. That is not failure. Failure only happens when you quit trying; when you just give up, turn tail, and run. Thomas Edison said about his quest for the electric light, "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." As long as you keep plugging away at it, you are succeeding in discovering what does not work. Eventually, you will find what does. Perhaps cold turkey isn't the correct method for you; perhaps you should use an NRT, or some other method. Just a suggestion, something to think about. Weekends are big challenges. If at all possible, stay close to here during it. As much as you can, anyway. If you feel seriously threatened, drop everything and start posting. Wishing you strength, Daytime Mommy. Hello Daytime Mommy, Hopefully in the very near future, You will look back on Your early Quit and Laugh, I know I have several times, You know, Its a little like weaning a Baby from a bottle of milk, to quit smoking, You got to find something in Your life to Replace that Addiction of smoking, You can sit around and think about that cig, And Yes, Out of sight, Out of mind, But friend, when I first quit, I took up walking down the road eveyday, 2 or 3 miles I would walk, Plus, started eating more healther foods in my diet, And when they say that Time heals All, It usually does, Its just the first 2 or 3 months of Your quit is so Criticial, One Hour, One Day, 24 hours at a time, Don't never look past that, You can find a 100 excuses to like up that cigerette, But lean the Other way and find excuses Not to light up, Those Kids of Your's must Motivate You a whole bunch, The next time You really think You need that cigerette, Cut a milk shake straw in half, an puff on that baby when You get that crave, That straw won't kill Ya, and it will be like a passifyer to Ya, I can only tell You to be strong, Positive Attitude, Get the Eye of the Tiger, You are in the Driver's seat of Your life and journey, Take care, Good Luck, Smokless In Oklahoma :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/10/2003 Smoke-Free Days: 1411 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 42,334 Amount Saved: $6039.08 Life Gained: Days: 320 Hrs: 21 Mins: 22 Seconds: 28
