Cigarettes Not Smoked

Yesterday was 11 months. I can't believe I didn't recognize that I had rolled over another month. So even though I am late I am still going to celebrate. The nasty old feelings have not gone away, they are still there. I do know that no matter what I will just not smoke. I know that fact way down deep in my being. I have got through worse in my life and I have always got through to the otherside. I do know that if I smoke there will be no other side. I can breath and breathing is rudimentary to life. I don't smell so wretched even my dog won't come near, I must smell good to her cause she loves to cuddle now. I extend my life everyday and in everyway by not smoking. So I just will not and I will get more time to find the splendor of life. Thanks for all of the support, the care and the just plain good vibes. Getting on with a new life can be challenging and thats what it is. So here's to new life. (Raising that glass of bubbley Perseco high and dreaming of the glittering sun on the canals of Venice). Happy anniversary to me. Hooray, life really does go on. Phillip :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 335 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,385 Amount Saved: $2680 Life Gained: Days: 55 Hrs: 11 Mins: 47 Seconds: 12

Am I readN this right? 11 Months, OMG Phillip you are almost a year! Where is the time going? CONGRATULATIONS!!! *I'll be right back I want to give you something* Okay here it is: There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren't the way you had hoped they would be. That's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down. But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself. There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them. Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are. So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be. Because the challenges and changes will only help you to find the goals that you know are meant to come true for you. Raising my glass to yours. A toast.... To a wonderful quitter for a job well done. You have been open and honest and supported so many along the quit journey. You have touched lives, comforted, and lead the way for so many. It has been a pleasure to share this part of your life with you. Congratulations!
