into day three....

good job Gismo. I've thrown everything out, although I have been known to walk a mile in a blinding snowstorm to get those ciggies! Those days are behind me, thank God. I know you can do it too! I'm pulling for both of us! Have a good day four! Deep breaths Rhonda. I too have been a bit clueless while driving. I'm just trying to still take it five minutes at a time. (and pay more attention on the road). I'm a bit spacey and distracted. Not much use at work, I fear, although everybody's being very understanding. You can do it! Four smoke free days for you! You rock! I'm totally pulling for you. thanks Rhonda! Fortunately my boss has been understanding, particularly when I was late for work today because I had trouble sleeping last night. Some bad cravings this evening.....I was taking my Christmas tree down and got the lights tangled up and just about threw the whole thing out the window. Then began cleaning my house, and my reward for that hard work has always been a cigarette. However, the cravings seem to have subsided for now. I have eaten 296 grapes, but I have not smoked.

Gee, interesting, that must be difficult. Good for you for hanging in there! Congratulations, freedomforme, and chicknoodle, you're an inspiration at 69 days! I just had supper and going through my usual post-meal cravings....I think I can handle it, I've got a big bowl of grapes and some low calorie popsicles to help me through. My crowd at work went to the bar tonight for wing night but I declined because I'm not confident in my ability to have a beer and not smoke. Big surprise to me, because I do love a cold beer! I think I'd best hold off for a few days until I feel comfortable. Almost through day three, looking ahead to day four! Hi Todash....congrats to you! I too am using the patch. I have to say my day three is going a bit better than day two. It's a wild ride but I'm hanging on. I'm reading all the various posts and I must say they're very motivating. I don't know about you but I'm very determined, but scared at the same time that I can't make it. Five minutes at a time. Smoking is not an option. Way to go, StuBow. As people here say, it's a journey. But we're all further ahead than we were three days ago! Hi there, I'm brand new at this but this seems to be a very supportive place. Yesterday was a day from hell to be sure. Today seems to be a little better. Coughing a lot, though. Best of luck to everybody.....I'm trying hard to be strong. Hi Marg, right with ya on day 3, let us ride this wave of WAHOO together! I've had a rough day too, even though I've got a patch on (feel like I'm cheating but it's been a godsend). I'm in the sensitive gums and scalp phase myself...this is a really weird experience, can't wait to see what I wake up with tomorrow ;) Hang tough, stay strong!
