Hey Gang...007 Quitters How are we feeling?

Rhonda, What's happening to you that you don't feel so good? (not taking the Chantix the night before) Nauseated, belly ache, depression (blues) or what? you know, my daughter started the Chantix about 10 days before I did as we are supporting each other in the quit. Day before yesterday she called me in the evening and was going just about bonkers from stress. However, I found out a little later that she had been smoking a little nearly every day. I'm trying to encourage her not to do this..it will delay her body's clean-up process and reduces her confidence in quitting.(one puff won't hurt...yes it will) I think the Chantix is a mood disorder "type" medication and I think that is why a doctor has to be involved, to monitor his patient's reactions. You might want to call your Doctor to discuss this un-well feeling if it continues. If I notice any negative changes in my well-being, I'll keep everyone posted. auntdeb My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 10 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 488 Amount Saved: $48.7 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 10 Mins: 18 Seconds: 45

Week I Down.... Yey!! So come on chime in..How are you really feeling? :quest: For me: I am coughing up junk from my lungs, but when I do cough now..I don't have the pains shooting down my arms from my shoulders to my elbows (it used to feel like my veins were caving in). I've put on some weight, but actually...it looks pretty good on me (it's helping fill in all those () smoking wrinkles..ha-ha) My teeth are getting whiter too, and I'm drinking less coffee because I'm not as nervous (stimulation from nicotene gone). I've divided my day into am/pm to reward myself for not smoking and I mark a big red diagonal line on each day of my calendar, when I get to noon I mark am smoke free on the upper side of the line, and before I go to bed I mark the other half pm smoke free and finish the calendar marking another red diagonal line the opposite way to make an X I am licking the "habit" a half a day at a time. My scalp is not sore today...good sign. I am having constipation, but not worried...I'll deal with it. The best thing I feel is confidence....I know tomorrow will be easier than today or yesterday or day one of last week!!! Maybe the welbutrin is not cooperating with the old body who knows. However keeping the quit guarding it closly. Seeing the Doc Thursday AM hope it turns out OK (part of the withdrawal syndrome). Was on the patch to start my new quit and 6 days later can't handle the 21 mg's. Am sure that's what is causing my nausea.. it could be the flu because that's going around. In the meantime I've stepped down to the 14 mg patch in the hopes it is that and not the flu. Have spent the last 2 1/2 days laying low and taking care of myself. Had a bad day yesterday with the cravings but they passed. Just taking it one day at a time and keeping a good attitude through it all. I've come to realize since my last slip that this is a time of celebration re the quit and that's my new and improved coping tool! Love and hugs all.. 1st off.. Phil.. everyone belongs here :) Doing quite well so far today! :) Finished hell week and now into day 8 ! Still keeping a positive attitude and celebrating everything that life has to offer. I did have a bout of something, but it seems to have passed. Have not much planned for the weekend -- probably pull out some dvd's and make plans with hubby to snuggle up and watch those. :) Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend filled with lots of happiness!
