Greenette: It's nice that here there is no judging. Addiction, if you are honest, is one of the universal equalizers - along with death and children. I'm wondering why you waited to log in to the site since you quit on Friday and today is Monday. Maybe you were busy, maybe you thought you could do without it, I just hope you didn't want to wait until you got a good quit on before you opened up. I'm not trying to be judgmental, I just think the answer to this may serve you in the difficult days to come. We're all cheering for you. Welcome Greenette ! I too, during the 1st several days, maybe even a week, I cried a lot. It did subside though. After several reads here, I found that other's did the same thing - In my view most of it was the withdrawal, but it was also the mourning of what I "thought" was a good friend. In the meantime, we are here for you.. The people here are unbelievable and I would NEVER have gotten this far without them :) Take it one day at a time.. baby steps and I'll be looking out for your posts. Hi Greenette, I'm glad you found this forum again. You're right; compared to another site out there, this group is nonjudgmental and understanding. There are many kind and helpful members here. Best of luck with your quitting. This time you will succeed!
