Dearest Monica, You have had so much on your plate, I really think you need to cut yourself some slack. OK, you smoked, yeah it sucks (I did it to, remember?) It still sucks, but our smoke free life beckons us forward and I know, I do truly KNOW that we will feel free and wonder what all the fuss was about when we get to the other side of this addiction.
So hang on tight, we will make this, I promise we will. But you have to do one thing. You have to promise to call me (I know you have my phone number) BEFORE you go to the store. See, I know how big this promise is. If you make the promise, I know you will talk to me first and you would not have me think I could have said or done something that would help, right?
OK, so here we are, new day, new time. Your life is still gonna have the same stuff in it that it already has. Your life is still gonna be fraught with hubby and Dad and all the things that make you think that the world will end unless you smoke. We both know that isn't true, because we both have tried it, and IT DID NOT WORK. The rest of the crap was still there, we just added smoking (and heartbreaking as it is, resetting the meter...) to our troubles.
So what's it to be? Will you promise? I will hold you to it. I love you, I am inspired by you; come and be hugged by all of us here at the SSC,
