Hello to all you quitters. Yes, I'm also a member here but haven't posted in a while. I have my quit day stuck in my memory and always feel like posting when it comes around. I quit smoking on 11/11/01 ( easy to remember, right?)and I'm grateful for all the people I chatted with here when it was tougher and I needed to let someone know how I was doing. So........Today I've been smoke- free for 1826 days YAHOO, and I still believe in my program like day one. How's I do it, I used the patch and mapped out a plan like I was told. I still carry a wallet card of what I don't miss, ie. the chest pain and smell.I just want to thank all whom He put in my path and helped me. To you newcomers in the program I should say that I think everyone's program is tailored to you but the thing that worked for me was sharin and carin.I knew I needed help from this site and other quitters, needed to know I wasn't unique in my withdrawl. Lastly, a powerful testament to this site is the number of successes. I don't think you can doubt when you see it work for others. Good to have friends who have found the answer to a seemingly hopeless situation and are willing to pass it on. Take Care. Joe D. 1826 days.
