Jan: The first three days you take .5 mg in the am. Next 4 days .5 mg in the am and pm. Day 8, 1 mg in the am and pm for 12 weeks. The Dr. can give an additional 12 weeks if needed, but I believe I will be fine after the first 12. Most begin while still smoking and on Day 8 their quit date begins. I am starting with 7 mg patch for the first 3 days and 5 mg patch for four, then nico free on day 8. Took my first one this morning after eating...I'll let you know how it goes. Upset tummy is the main side effect. All the other common side-effects are also nicotine withdrawel symptoms anyway...and WE are used to those already! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 55 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,769 Amount Saved: $440 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 16 Mins: 44 Seconds: 11

Still here. Feeling much better in the morning light! :) I am unable to use the IM, Phil. Plan to go to the Drs. this morning for my appt. I'll make it thru this....been thru it before and know what to do, but I don't trust myself too much right now. I am kind of like several others that have stated they are bored and tired of the struggle. The constant battle. Hope everyone had a pleasant and safe Halloween! Thanks Phil!!! It's nice to know people care! Non-smokers think after a week or so you're over it....yeah, right! ;) I've been down this route before. It gets really hard for me at about this same time...(last time lost it after an over 70 day quit!) Will speak with my Dr. about this when I go see him in an hour! Thanks for the good wishes. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 54 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,723 Amount Saved: $432 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 14 Mins: 26 Seconds: 31

Oh, Gonna, don't do it!! You are one strong lady and you have a lot of faith. Ask God for help now!!! Ask him to remove all desires to smoke and ask him to put blocks in your way so you won't smoke. If it helps you can knock the $hi+ out me. I am tough :eg:, but you will have to come to Nebraska to do it :8o: You can do this, yes you can. Go howl at the moon, kick some dirt, eat your steering wheel ;p Whatever you do don't smoke, I (we)need you!!! Look you have saved $424.00, go buy yourself a big reward. Hope you got a good nights rest. {{{{HUGS}}}} Sharon My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/16/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 15 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 159 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 2 Mins: 57 Seconds: 25

Gonna- You sound a little better this morning. I just wanted to add in my two cents worth. Firstly, are you thinking that you are missing something/someone? Trying to find that missing link can overwhelm you at times. Instead of missing it, rejoice in the fact that you do not need it!!! Surround yourself with thoughts that you are free now, you are getting healthy, and you are in control of your life. Secondly, rewards are so important. Keep rewarding yourself. There is no limit to the amount of rewards ~ just make sure you know & feel that it is a reward for your quit. Sometimes we just have to drill it into our heads....... Lastly, take care of yourself. You need the nutrition, sleep, and exercise more than ever. Make sure you are eating your share of healthy foods. And vitamins??? Add some in. And getting plenty of sleep is crutial. Take naps if you feel like you need more. I personally take some tylenol pm a lot just to get a little deeper sleep..... And finally, you need to exercise. It rejuvinates your body and mind. Just a walk around the does wonders. Anyhow, I hope your doc appt is successful. Sometimes we just need a little help from meds to steer us back on track. I did, and no shame there. I am back feeling strong and determined! Take care, ;) 4my2girls What Consumes Your Thoughts Controls Your Life My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 241 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,245 Amount Saved: $788.07 Life Gained: Days: 19 Hrs: 10 Mins: 22 Seconds: 47

Gonna Hope all is well with the Dr. and glad you are feeling better this am. Sometimes it is just one foot in front of the other and soldier through. Glad you are doing this. I am glad you are giving yourself such a wonderful and truly healthy gift. Quitting is life for me. hi gonna, i feel your pain !!!!!!!!!!! i must be your quitting twin sista'. i am at day 61 and someone said to me last night, "well the worst is over".not................of course it was an alien that never smoked. i find that fasinating that there are people that never even TRIED to smoke. what is up with that - i say aliens, all of them. anyway, i say go find someone and beat the **** out of them and if that does not work find someone else.... :eg: try some breathing exercises, sssslllooowwwlllyyy in and sssslllooowwwlllyyy out, and a g a i n. do this maybe once or twice an hour, close your eyes, find a place that is quiet and you can be alone. breath iiiinnnnn breath oooouuutttt. take your time, it belongs to you. everything about this quit belongs to you - the good and the bad. only you can quit. only you know how hard it is. only you knows how good it feels not to smoke. only you can do this. only you are strong enough to do this. only you are so worth this. there is only one of you forever. you only have to quit today this minute this hour. take it in little tiny bits. one inch at a time. no big bites. savour the moment, savour your freedom every little bit of it. be kind to yourself, be gentle with yourself. barbara My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/1/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 61 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 924 Amount Saved: $274.5 Life Gained: Days: 7 Hrs: 4 Mins: 32 Seconds: 16
