I got home very late last night, tired and cranky, and my husband said "You have a package from Oklahoma." I opened that big box and inside was a very tall trophy with a woman standing at the top with her arms and hands held high. The bottom of the trophy says Congratulations Rusty on 2 years smoke free. Also inside the box was a certificate, a beautiful bunch of Christmas flowers, some chocolate covered pecans, and the most beautiful letter I have ever read. JohnW, my husband can tell you how I sat and sobbed. I am that woman holding her arms high. Those of you who have walked this road know the feeling of exhilaration when you finally break through to the light of freedom. In my case, I have seen that freedom, but I have also been taught what friendship means. Ros, I can't begin to tell you much your message means to me. Phillip, you are the dearest person in the universe. It is so wonderful to hear the excitement in your words, both here and elsewhere. You make me feel so loved...that is a most wonderful gift you give to the world. There are so many wonderful people that I can't begin to name you all, but please know that you are in my heart. I know that it is customary to write down all the health benefits and emotional benefits and in my case, all of these are true. But this morning as I start my third year of not smoking with joy in my heart, I will tell you that the most outstanding and wonderful gift I have received is the friendship of so many traveling down this path. I love you all. I feel like Miss America today!:p Rusty :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/13/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 731 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 20,475 Amount Saved: $2558.5 Life Gained: Days: 100 Hrs: 14 Mins: 10 Seconds: 23

:8|: Congratulations Rusty!!! :8|: I am so proud to have taken this journey with you, I couldn't have wished for a better travelling companion :) I'm hoping that some of the other members of the "Class of mid-December '04" will check back in for this wonderful occasion. Whatever the hardships of going through a quit at Christmas-time, the upside is that we can now celebrate Christmas with enormous happiness and pride in what we have achieved! I trust you have a stupendous reward lined up for yourself - you deserve it! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/16/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 727 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 23,281 Amount Saved: 4362 Life Gained: Days: 95 Hrs: 3 Mins: 26 Seconds: 54
